2011 Beach Water Testing Results

Pride & Preston Lake volunteers test all 4 beaches around our lake for e-coli bacteria.
Water sample results that are less than 100 parts per million are considered safe conditions for swimming.
Results are obtained by taking 5 samples at each beach and are provided by the York Region Health Department.

Special thanks to all the PPL volunteers who conduct water testing once a week every Tuesday mornings,
beginning in July until the last week of August.

CAUTION: Wait approx. 48 hours AFTER a heavy rainfall before swimming in the lake.
Please obey the 'Unsafe for Bathing' signs that get posted on your beach, when bacteria levels exceed 100.

Unsafe results will be posted in RED below.
